Burow (Good Yarn), A. Harding (Julaine, Jen Shen & Sweet Emma), R. Wombwell (Outlaw Dave & Banjo Bonito), S. Colpoys (Ima Maldini, Piparea & Villa Maldini), T. Sinnott (Valoshore), G. On Saturday 21 April 2018 Stewards conducted Out of Competition Testing at the Warrnambool Trials as follows: A. Carman (Thomeli Monster), R. Mahoney (Unnamed greyhound), J. McCosh (Unnamed greyhound), D. Drew (Aston Ninja & Annie Lava), S. Thompson (Aston Duke) and P. Byrne (Lecktra Elsa). Stewards also conducted the following Out of Competition Testing: R. Brewer (Jewell Fantasy, Slick Brew & Spritely Brew) and V. Inguanti (Inga Ted, Bobby Tokaam, Kadabra Monelli, Seeking Stars, Inga Ross, Unnamed greyhound).

Murrabit Benny was slow to begin. No Secrets, Go Barny Go and Leica Cali King collided soon after the start, checking Go Barny Go. Brin Bandit, Piriformis and On Time Johnny collided approaching the first turn. Go Barny Go crossed to the rail on the first turn, severely checking No Secrets, On Time Johnny, Brin Bandit and Piriformis. Three Toots raced wide on the home turn and eased in the home straight. On Time Johnny and No Secrets collided several times in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.
Three Toots was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
A sample was taken from Leica Cali King - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Ms. T. Deglaitis, the trainer of the greyhound Three Toots regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Three Toots with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Deglaitis pleaded guilty to the charge, Three Toots was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
