Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Run Ronnie Run, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.
Spirited Bingle and Wynonna Earp were quick to begin. Run Ronnie Run was slow to begin. Spirited Bingle and Wynonna Earp collided approaching the first turn, checking Wynonna Earp. Wynonna Earp and Zipping Boyd collided approaching the home turn, checking Why Not Kylie and Lektra Menzel. Spirited Bingle eased approaching the home turn and collided with Pyrenees Inferno. Spirited Bingle and Pyrenees Inferno collided on the home turn, severely checking Pyrenees Inferno. Lektra Menzel and Soughwood Bill collided in the home straight.
Spirited Bingle was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Ms Kerry Prowse, the representative of the greyhound Spirited Bingle, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Spirited Bingle with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Prowse pleaded guilty to the charge, Spirited Bingle was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
