Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Phillip Thompson, the trainer of Macrory, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Macrory last raced on 17 September 2017. Mr Thompson stated that the greyhound was resuming to race from a chest injury.
Mr P Thompson, trainer of Macrory, declared a new weight of 36.7 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Macrory last raced at 35.3 kgs.
Prior to this event the outside temperature was 31.0 degrees and the kennel temperature was 18.0 degrees.
A pre-race sample was taken from Macrory.
Collis Princess, Harvey Mills and It's All Bolony collided approaching the first turn, checking It's All Bolony and Collis Princess. Full Of Boloney and Saint Ray collided on the home turn. Full Of Boloney and Ivanka Rose collided in the home straight, checking Ivanka Rose.
Meeting Comments:
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Ms Melissa Fullerton, the trainer of Handsome Cosmo regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Handsome Cosmo last raced on 19 August 2017. Ms Fullerton stated that the greyhound was returning to racing folllowing a left hindleg metatarsal fracture. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Handsome Cosmo trialled over the 410m from box one, weight 31.8, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 23:48 the greyhound was beaten/by a margin of four lengths. Handsome Cosmo was Cleared.
