Brazilian Brae was quick to begin. Broulee Miss was slow to begin. Lady Beatrix and Jack's Pick collided soon after the start, checking Lady Beatrix. Kyrgios and Ruby Cabang collided on the first turn, checking Ruby Cabang. Ruby Cabang, Lady Beatrix and Jack's Pick collided on the first turn, checking Ruby Cabang and Quink, and causing Lady Beatrix to fall. Quink and Ruby Cabang collided approaching the home turn, checking Ruby Cabang. Ruby Cabang checked off Quink entering the home straight.
Lady Beatrix was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a thoraco-lumbar injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
