Steward's Report
Don't Trust and Pacific Power were slow to begin. Don't Trust stumbled soon after the start. Sharp Diamond, Headline News and Gunnewin collided approaching the first turn, checking Gunnewin. Bacardi Breezer and Tat Tubby collided on the second turn. Sharp Diamond, Headline News and Gunnewin collided in the back straight, checking Gunnewin and Tat Tubby. Pacific Power, Bacardi Breezer and Gunnewin collided in the back straight, checking Bacardi Breezer, Gunnewin and Tat Tubby. Gunnewin and Tat Tubby collided on the third turn, causing Gunnewin to falter and lose ground.
Gunnewin was vetted and after being re-vetted following event eight, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hindleg spike wound, left foreleg radius / ulna soreness and right hindleg hock injuries, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
