Steward's Report
The meeting was deemed to be hot weather affected on 11/1/18 due to a forecast temperature of 34 degrees. At the opening of kennelling the outside temperature was 19 degrees, and as a result stewards declared that the hot weather policy would not apply for the remainder of the meeting.
Trail Blazer was a late scratching at 12:53 by order of stewards. No penalty or stand down period was imposed.
Mepunga Bella, Charlie Cockatoo and Pyrenees Acclaim were quick to begin. Three Toots, Veil Successor and Southerly were slow to begin. Three Toots and Flying Rose collided soon after the start, checking Flying Rose. Pyrenees Acclaim and Charlie Cockatoo collided on the first turn, checking Pyrenees Acclaim. Southerly, Pyrenees Acclaim and Flying Rose collided approaching the home turn, checking Pyrenees Acclaim and Southerly. Veil Successor and Three Toots collided on the home turn, checking Veil Successor. Flying Rose checked off the heels of Veil Successor in the home straight.
