The meeting was deemed to be hot weather affected on 11/1/18 due to a forecast temperature of 34 degrees. At the opening of kennelling the outside temperature was 19 degrees, and as a result stewards declared that the hot weather policy would not apply for the remainder of the meeting.

Trail Blazer was a late scratching at 12:53 by order of stewards. No penalty or stand down period was imposed.

Mepunga Bella, Charlie Cockatoo and Pyrenees Acclaim were quick to begin. Three Toots, Veil Successor and Southerly were slow to begin. Three Toots and Flying Rose collided soon after the start, checking Flying Rose. Pyrenees Acclaim and Charlie Cockatoo collided on the first turn, checking Pyrenees Acclaim. Southerly, Pyrenees Acclaim and Flying Rose collided approaching the home turn, checking Pyrenees Acclaim and Southerly. Veil Successor and Three Toots collided on the home turn, checking Veil Successor. Flying Rose checked off the heels of Veil Successor in the home straight.

Manarola was quick to begin. Phoenix Fernando and Striker Vardy collided soon after the start, checking Phoenix Fernando and Hayley's Style. Barooga Brett, Tao Tao, First Responder and Phoenix Fernando collided approaching the first turn, checking Tao Tao and First Responder, First Responder collided with Hayley's Style as a result. Phoenix Fernando, First Responder and Hayley's Style raced wide on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Manarola checked off the heels of Striker Vardy in the home straight and raced wide as a result.

Mepunga Zeus and Total Mayhem collided approaching the home turn, checking Total Mayhem. Reid Star raced wide approaching the home turn. Why Not Bazzar and Mepunga Zeus collided in the home straight. Ninety Proof checked off the heels of Yuko in the home straight.

So Apparent was slow to begin. Miss Dangerwood and Go Saints collided soon after the start, checking Go Saints. So Apparent, Miss Dangerwood and Mini Fernando collided approaching the first turn, checking Miss Dangerwood and Go Saints. Alotta Zulu, Miss Fagan and Go Saints collided on the first turn, checking Alotta Zulu, which collided with Miss Dangerwood and So Apparent as a result. Mini Fernando galloped on the heels of So Apparent approaching the home turn, checking Mini Fernando, which collided with Alotta Zulu and Go Saints, Go Saints fell as a result severely checking Alotta Zulu. Mini Fernando and Miss Dangerwood raced wide entering the home straight.

Like A Rocket was quick to begin. Tom Riddle and Be Like Bill were slow to begin. Dyna Ianto and Tom Riddle collided soon after the start, checking Tom Riddle. Shield Of Dreams, Shot Thru and Dyna Ianto collided on the home turn, checking Shot Thru and Shield Of Dreams, causing both greyhounds to race wide. Be Like Bill and Dyna Ianto collided entering the home straight, causing Be Like Bill, Dyna Ianto and Shot Thru to race wide. Tom Riddle raced wide entering the home straight. Aldrich was quick to begin. Fess Crockett was slow to begin. Arizona raced wide on the first turn. Haddi Bale and Crackerjack Blax raced wide on the home turn, and again in the home straight. 

Stewards spoke to Mr S. McDonnell, kennel representative of Apex Bro regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Apex Bro last raced on 12 October 2017. Mr McDonnell stated that the greyhound had returned to racing from a left back muscle injury.

Slingshot Sambo checked off On Billy's Wings soon after the start. Apex Pro, Slingshot Sambo and Quink collided soon after the start, checking Slingshot Sambo. Storm Search checked off Slingshot Sambo approaching the first turn. Quink checked off Last Outlaw on the first turn. Quink, Slingshot Sambo and Storm Search collided on the first turn, checking Slingshot Sambo which faltered. Apex Pro and Mousey McCoy collided approaching the home turn. On Billy's Wings checked off Storm Search in the home straight, and raced wide as a result.

Bera Na Liva and Art Noveau collided soon after the start. Bera Na Liva and Destini Seahorse collided soon after the start. Bera Na Liva checked off the heels of Luck's Run Out approaching the first turn. Gothamburg, Destini Seahorse and Our Didda collided on the first turn, checking Our Didda. Luck's Run Out, Bera Na Liva and Nymphadora Tonks collided on the home turn. Bera Na Liva checked off the heels of Nymphadora Tonks in the home straight, and collided with Luck's Run Out. Luck's Run Out checked off the heels of Bera Na Liva in the home straight. 

Noonbarra Storm was slow to begin. Noonbarra Storm, Flying Sam, Blackpool Doc and Ball Of Steel collided soon after the start, checking Blackpool Doc and Flying Sam. Noonbarra Storm, Inside Game and Jar Man collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Jar Man. Jar Man checked off the heels of Flying Sam on the home turn. Blackpool Doc, Flying Sam and Inside Game collided on the home turn, and again in the home straight. Jar Man checked off the heels of Inside Game in the home straight. Jar Man and Inside Game collided in the home straight. 

Parvati Grange was quick to begin. In The Net was slow to begin. Bell's Borus and Koitsenko collided soon after the start, severely checking Bell's Borus. Bell's Borus and Mask collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. In The Net and Winlock Rose collided approaching the first turn, checking Winlock Rose. Winlock Rose and Bell's Borus collided on the first turn. Parvati Grange, Melissa Lee and In The Net collided approaching the home turn, checking Melissa Lee and Parvati Grange. Mask, Melissa Lee and Parvati Grange collided on the home turn. Parvati Grange, Melissa Lee and Winlock Rose collided in the home straight, causing Winlock Rose to race wide. 

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Parvati Grange became dislodged during the running of the event.

Bell's Borus was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right wrist, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Beyond The Valley was a late scratching at 18:16 on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an abrasion to the left front leg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
