Steward's Report
Rockstar Barnes checked off Macfid Magic approaching the first turn. Mon Dasha stumbled entering the back straight. Leon's Wish and How Good She collided approaching the second turn, checking How Good She. Rockstar Barnes, How Good She and Fawntastic Kate collided on the second turn, severely checking How Good She. Rockstar Barnes checked off Leon's Wish approaching the home turn. Rockstar Barnes failed to pursue the lure with due committment entering the home straight and collided with Leon's Wish.
Rockstar Barnes was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left quadricep, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Turnbull, the trainer of the greyhound Rockstar Barnes regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Rockstar Barnes with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Turnbull pleaded guilty to the charge, Rockstar Barnes was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
