Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Lachlan Scott, the trainer of Scott Muscle, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Scott Muscle last raced on 1 October 2017. Mr Scott stated that the greyhound had been spelling following a left hip injury. Mr Scott also declared a new weight of 38.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Scott Muscle last raced at 39.3kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Subscapularis.
Subscapularis was slow to begin.
Scott Muscle and Bless 'Em All collided soon after the start. Star's Big Boy crossed to the inside soon after the start and collided with Tally Ho Billy and Daintree Dynamo; Star's Big Boy fell as a result and tailed the field for the remainder of the event. Tally Ho Billy and Bruree Jewel checked off the fallen Star's Big Boy soon after the start. Daintree Dynamo and Bruree Jewel collided at the 250m mark. Scott Muscle, Bless 'Em All and Bruree Jewel collided several times approaching the 150m mark. Tally Ho Billy and Bruree Jewel collided at the 100m mark.
Star's Big Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the abdominal muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
