Ollie Buck was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a deep spike wound on the left front foot, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

This event was delayed by approximately 90 seconds due to a harness event at Penrith.

Noaki Colour, Miss Innings and Dyna Dean collided approaching the first turn.  Oronsay and Pants On Fire collided on the first turn.  Miss Innings and Dyna Dean collided on the first turn.  Kouta Mayhem checked off Pants On Fire approaching the home turn.  Kouta Mayhen tired approaching the home turn and in the home straight.

Kouta Mayham was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained right saddle soreness, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Trainer Jason Sharp was questioned after Kouta Mayhem tired noticeably in the concluding stages of this race.  Mr Sharp advised that Kouta Mayhem does not run out a strong 500m at this stage of his career and would need to obtain a far more significant advantage in the first half of the race to hold on over this distance, in this class. Until now, Kouta Mayhem has almost exclusively raced over shorter distances but is now being prepared for mid-distance racing. The time of 29.90 was considered reasonable and a minor injury was also reported. In consideration of all factors, the Stewards were not satisfied that the performance of Kouta Mayhem fell under the auspices of GAR 71, of being unsatisfactory. As such, no action was taken.

Sharp Diamond, Sly Shiraz and Lakeview Isla collided soon after the start checking Sharp Diamond.  Why Not Barrel and Very Choosy collided on the first turn checking Very Choosy.  Lakeview Isla and Chezzy Allen collided on the second turn checking Lakeview Isla and severely checking Chezzy Allen.  Why Not Barrel and Inequity collided on the second turn.  Sly Shiraz and Lakeview Isla collided on the third turn.  Sharp Diamond checked off Inequity in the back straight checking Lakeview Isla.

Tidelina, Aston Harpo and Allen Gable collided soon after the start.  Diamond Vee and Allen Gable collided approaching the first turn checking Allen Gable and Hyundai Hawk.  Tidelina checked off Aston Harpo on the first turn.  Allen Gable and Hyundai Hawk collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Aston Harpo checked off Diamond Vee on the second turn.  Allen Gable and Hyundai Hawk collided on the second turn.  Hyundai Hawk eased on the third turn.  Broulee Miss and Rebel Lad collided entering the home straight.  Hyundai Hawk eased in the home straight.

Hyundai Hawk was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. A revet was declined by connections.

Stewards spoke to Mrs M. Thomas, the trainer of the greyhound Hyundai Hawk regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the third turn and again in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Hyundai Hawk with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mrs Thomas pleaded not guilty to the charge, Hyundai Hawk was found guilty of the charge and suspended for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
