Flash Bobbie, Go Go Pipsqueak and Urban Shiraz collided soon after the start checking Go Go Pipsqueak. Flash Bobbie, Urban Shiraz and Racey Rose collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Pancake brushed the running rail approaching the home turn. Urban Shiraz and Racey Rose collided approaching the home turn severely checking Urban Shiraz. Urban Shiraz crossed to the outside and raced wide in the home straight. Pancake checked off Why Not Macca in the home straight.
