A pre race sample was taken from Big Black Rocket.
Half Moon Rising was slow to begin. Bush Destroyer and Red Lagoon collided soon after the start, checking Red Lagoon. Sea Mist, Bush Destroyer, Big Black Rocket and Bella Rhode collided approaching the first turn, checking Big Black Rocket and severely checking Bush Destroyer. Bella Rhode checked off Half Moon Rising on the first turn, checking Sublime Sull. Sublime Sull, Bush Destroyer and Big Black Rocket raced wide in the home straight.
