Scott A Secret was slow to begin.  Double The Magic and Liscoyle Lass collided soon after the start.  Just Blacky and Emilia Magic collided soon after the start.  Emilia Magic galloped on the heels of Rhiannon Royale approaching the 200m mark.  Rhiannon Royale and All You Got collided at the 200m mark.  All You Got marred Rhiannon Royale at the 150m mark, checking Here's Toger, Just Blacky and Rhiannon Royale.  Scott A Secret and Rhiannon Royale collided at the 50m mark.

All You Got was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to T Cortese, the owner of the greyhound All You Got regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 150m mark.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged All You Got with marring. T Cortese pleaded guilty to the charge, All You Got was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre race sample was taken from Latissimus Dorsi. 

Emilia Mel, Latissimus Dorsi and Ballistic Gem were slow to begin.  Ballistic Gem and Wackadooka collided at the 250m mark.  Emilia Mel checked off Mia Crazy at the 200m mark.  In A Jam and Terrigal Tornado collided at the 150m mark, checking both greyhounds.

Why Not Senor was a late scratching at 10.10am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer G Edwards was fined the sum of $100.

A pre race sample was taken from Raven Joe.

Evie Lass and Toby Sure were slow to begin.  Raven Joe, Evie Lass and Toby Sure collided soon after the start, checking Evie Lass.  Super Serena and Scott Lit Up collided soon after the start.  Super Serena, Scott Lit Up and Jagged Ice collided at the 250m mark.  Raven Joe checked off Toby Sure at the 250m mark.  Late Arrival and Super Serena collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to A Kampman, the trainer of Tally Ho Len regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Tally Ho Len last raced on 11 March 2016. A Kampman stated that the greyhound was returning from an injured right hock.

Stewards spoke to G Ennis, the trainer of Rory Brown regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Rory Brown last raced on 19 May 2017. G Ennis stated that the greyhound was returning from being spelled.

How's It Burning and Cheeky Cindy were slow to begin.  Tally Ho Len, Orlando Cruise, How's It Burning and Cheeky Cindy collided at the 300m mark.  Tally Ho Len checked off She's Wicked at the 250m mark and crossed to the outside.  Rory Brown and Roberts collided at the 200m mark.

Nicole McRae, trainer of Zed Merrett declared a new weight of 35.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Zed Merrett last raced at 34.4kgs.

Zed Merrett and Maximum Babe were slow to begin and collided soon after the start.  Raging Inferno, Ernie's Legacy, Maximum Babe, Zed Merrett and Dami Gal collided at the 300m mark, checking Maximum Babe and Zed Merrett. Ernie's Legacy checked off Dami Gal at the 250m mark.  My Mate Wally and Scott Finesse collided at the 250m mark.  My Mate Wally checked off Dami Gal at the 200m mark.  Unlocked and Dami Gal collided at the 50m mark.  My Mate Wally and Zed Merrett collided at the 50m mark.  Unlocked, Dami Gal and Ernie's Legacy collided approaching the winning post.

Tally Ho Billy was slow to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start.  Big Black Rocket and My Lil' Angel collided soon after the start.  My Lil' Angel, Scott Muscle and Shevchenko collided at the 250m mark.  Big Black Rocket and My Lil' Angel collided at the 150m mark, checking Big Black Rocket.  Shevchenko and Invented collided at the 100m mark, checking Shevchenko.

Thomas Sharp, trainer of Tai Chi Mini declared a new weight of 26.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tai Chi Mini last raced at 24.9kgs.

A pre race sample was taken from Zipping Simmo.

Rooey and Oliver Cruise collided soon after the start.  Redda and Ima Ebay collided soon after the start.  Zipping Simmo, Weeona Dino and Redda collided at the 300m mark.  Zipping Simmo and Redda collided at the 250m mark.  Weeona Dino and Redda collided at the 200m mark.

Stewards spoke to Ms D Winter regarding her difficultiy in boxing the greyhound Rooey.  Stewards noted that the greyhound was already on a box first however Ms D Winter was unable to box Rooey for this event and the starter subsequently boxed the greyhound.  Stewards advised Ms D Winter that if she was unable to box the greyhound in the future, she would be required to find another suitable handler (GAR45).

Stewards spoke to O McGovern, the trainer of Marlow's Express regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Marlow's Express last raced on 18 June 2017. O McGovern stated that the greyhound was returning from an injured left wrist and hock.

Pawesome Boss was slow to begin.  Weeona Paul, Rumble Drive and Marlow's Express collided soon after the start.  Chloe In Paris, Osti's Sprite and Spring To Wyn collided soon after the start.  Weeona Paul and Spring To Wyn collided at the 200m mark, checking Spring To Wyn.  Marlow's Express checked off Weeona Paul at the 100m mark.

Marlow's Express was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right wrist and right shoulder, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Spring Ace was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Rocketness and Tally Ho Jack were slow to begin.  Ultimate Return, Rocketness and Tally Ho Jack collided soon after the start, checking Poison Pen and Tally Ho Jack.  Supraspinatus crossed to the rail at the 300m mark.

Stewards spoke to M Filomeno, the trainer of Uncatchable regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Uncatchable last raced on 25 June 2017. M Filomeno stated that the greyhound was returning from being spelled.

Odd Boots, Uncatchable and Quedos collided soon after the start.  Paua To Avoid checked off Oakleigh Rose approaching the 250m mark.  Atlas Roughhead, Quedos, Conquer Dear, Tobias Kelton and Oakleigh Rose collided at the 250m mark, checking Conquer Fear.  Atlas Roughead, Quedos and Oakleigh Rose collided at the 200m mark.  Odd Boots crossed to the outside approaching the 150m mark and collided with Tobias Kelton.  Atlas Roughead checked off Quedos at the 150m mark, checking Oakleigh Rose.  Atlas Roughead and Oakleigh Rose collided at the 100m mark, checking Atlas Roughead.

Atlas Roughead was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left hind foot, spike wounds to the right hind foot and an injured right triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Zahra Bella, Emilia Cash and Sandave Cruise were slow to begin.  Emilia Cash and Blanford Babe collided at the 200m mark.  Rosie Sprite and Hit 'N' Split collided at the 200m mark and again at the 150m mark, checking Hit 'N' Split.  La Reina and Dodge Ball collided at the 150m mark.  Hit 'N' Split and Blanford Babe collided at the 100m mark.

Bling Worthy and Sports Knight were slow to begin.  Johnnie Red and Bling Worthy collided at the 250m mark.

MEETING CONDITIONS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to B Hodgson, the trainer of Major Spoils regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Major Spoils last raced on 9 February 2017. B Hodgson stated that the greyhound was returning from an injured right stopper pad.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Major Spoils trialled over the 300m from box 3, weight 27.9kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 16.97, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.25 lengths. Major Spoils was cleared.
