Steward's Report
Kiowa Kaema was slow to begin. Avatar Vixen crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Avatar Maximus, Frontier, Watch Me Wyn and Hometown Lads. Koda Blue galloped on Magic Vi on the first turn, checking Kiowa Kaema, severely checking Koda Blue, Magic Vi and Hometown Lads; Koda Blue and Hometown Lads fell as a result. Frontier and Kiowa Kaema collided several times in the home straight.
Koda Blue was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right foreleg monkey muscle, sacro-iliac, pelvic and tail base, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
Hometown Lads was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Kiowa Kaema, which fell in the catching pen, was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
