Track Curator Mr C. Hiscock advised stewards that the track was medium harrowed on Thursday 28 September 2017 .

It's A Kiss was quick to begin. Azkaban and Snap Loch collided soon after the start checking Snap Loch. Dyna Evelyn and Ominous Warning collided soon after the start checking Ominous Warning. Azkaban checked off Ronray Legend approaching the first turn. Azkaban, Ominous Warning and Snap Loch collided approaching the first turn checking Snap Loch. It's A Kiss and Ronray Legend collided on the first turn.  Ominous Warning and Sammy Allen collided on the first turn checking Sammy Allen. Azakaban and Ominous Warning collided on the first turn and appraoching the second turn checking both greyhounds. Ominous Warning checked off Dyna Evelyn approaching the second turn and collided with Sammy Allen. Azkaban and Snap Loch collided on the second turn checking Snap Loch. Ominous Warning and Sammy Allen collided several times from the second turn to the back straight. It's A Kiss galloped on the heels of Blackberry Nip approaching the third turn checking It's A Kiss, Azkaban, Sammy Allen and Ominous Warning and severely checking Blackberry Nip. Ominous Warning and Snap Loch collided approaching the home turn.

Blackberrty Nip was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A sample was taken from Dyna Evelyn, winner of the event.

Loch Freddie, Deadline, Zipping Danii and Me Bros Bad were slow to begin. Dyna Nina and Fonty Allen collided soon after the start checking Fonty Allen and Stand Beside Me. Fonty Allen, Stand Beside Me and Aston It Is collided approaching the first turn. Aston It Is and Deadline collided approaching the first turn. Fonty Allen and Stand Beside Me collided approaching the first turn checking Fonty Allen which contacted the running rail. Fonty Allen, Loch Freddie and Deadline collided on the first turn checking Fonty Allen and Loch Freddie. Stand Beside Me and Deadline collided entering the back straight checking Deadline. Deadline and Fonty Allen collided in the back straight severely checking Fonty Allen which fell.

Fonty Allen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triangle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from True Talent upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Shades Of Lippy and Flying Sparkles were quick to begin. Lektra Guiseppe and Dyna Denver were slow to begin. Tahleia Brae and Lektra Guiseppe collided approaching the first turn checking Tahleia Brae. Immen Bale and Tahleia Brae collided on the first turn checking Tahleia Brae. Shades Of Lippy and Immen Bale collided on the first turn and approaching the second turn checking Shades Of Lippy. Immen Bale, Dyna Denver and Lektra Guiseppe collided on the second turn checking Dyna Denver. Lektra Guiseppe and Dyna Denver collided on the third turn checking Dyna Denver. Tahleia Brae and Dyna Denver collided entering the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Blusain Bolt upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Mahi Indian, Dyna Fabrice and Rockalot were slow to begin. Dyna Fabrice and Rockalot collided approaching the first turn. Jaclyn Bale and Blusain Bolt collided on the first turn checking Mahi Indian. Blusain Bolt, Dyna Fabrice and Rockalot collided on the first turn severely checking all three greyhounds. Jaclyn Bale and Mahi Indian collided on the home turn.

Dewana Special and Zulu Knock's were slow to begin. Miss Lava, Oshkosh Expert, Promises Kept, Moonlit Wings and My Name's Red collided on the first turn checking Oshkosh Expert. Promises Kept, Moonlit Wings and My Name's Red collided on the first turn. Miss Lava, Promises Kept, Moonlit Wings and My Name's Red collided on the first turn checking Miss Lava, Oshkosh Expert, Promises Kept, Moonlit Wings, Zulu Knock's, Diama Bale and Dewana Special. Miss Lava, Moonlit Wings and Dewana Special collided entering the front straight. Miss Lava and Moonlit Wings collided in the front straight checking Moonlit Wings. Miss Lava and Dewana Special collided approaching the second turn checking Miss Lava. 

Eddie Eagle, Snoop Junior, Deadline To Meet and Miss Innings were slow to begin. Eddie Eagle and Snoop Junior collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Snoop Junior and Deadline To Meet collided appraoaching the first turn. Victor Dora and Snoop Junior collided on the first turn checking Snoop Junior. Verne Allen checked off Lady Charlotte approaching the second turn. Victor Dora and Eddie Eagle collided on the third turn checking Eddie Eagle. Deadline To Meet and Eddie Eagle collided approaching the home turn checking Deadline To Meet.

Alezan was slow to begin. Jaimandy Hatty and Jeebus Bird collided soon after the start. Militant Man and Quartz Vein collided on the first turn. Alezan and Jaimandy Hatty collided on the first turn checking Alezan. Militant Man and Quartz Vein collided on the second turn. Allen Kelvin was very slow to begin (3L). Dyna Jerry, Chezzy Allen and Dyna Hadria collided soon after the start checking Dyna Hadria and Chezzy Allen. Fairy Vixen and Dyna Jerry collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn checking Fairy Vixen. Dyna Hadria and Chezzy Allen collided on the first turn checking Dyna Hadria. Fairy Vixen and Chezzy Allen collided on the first turn severely checking Chezzy Allen. Allen Kelvin checked off John John Lava approaching the second turn. Allen Kelvin and Dyna Hadria collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Dyna Hadria and Allen Kelvin collided on the home turn checking Dyna Hadria.

Made First was quick to begin. Duty Free and Gateway To Eden collided soon after the start. Duty Free, Gateway To Eden and Giant Bale collided approaching the first turn. Duty Free and Gateway To Eden collided on the first turn checking Giant Bale. Unite Bale and Aston Frankel collided on the first turn. Duty Free and Gateway To Eden collided approaching the second turn checking Giant Bale.

Pants On Fire, Unbackable, Dashing Impulse and My Cousin Jim collided approaching the first turn checking Dashing Impulse and Unbackable. Banjo Fever , My Cousin Jim and Pants On Fire collided on the first turn checking My Cousin Jim. Dashing Impulse and Unbackable collided on the first turn checking Dashing Impulse. Scorching Fella, My Cousin Jim, Banjo Fever and Pants On Fire collided approaching the second turn checking Banjo Fever and severely checking My Cousin Jim and Unbackable. Scorching Fellaa and Game Face collided on the second turn checking Game Face. Scorching Fella Checked off Pants On Fire entering the back straight.

My Cousin Jim was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Scarecrow Max was quick to begin. Veracity was slow to begin. Chuck McIvor went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Ha Ha Gotcha was very slow to begin (3L). Dyna Gavin and Dashing Moments collided soon after the start checking Dashing Moments. Dyna Gavin contacted the running rail on the first turn and collided with Ruby's Willow, checking Ruby's Willow. Ruby's Willow and Ha Ha Gotcha collided on the first turn severely checking Ha Ha Gotcha and severely checking Ruby's Willow which stumbled. Veracity galloped on the heels of Scarecrow Max approaching the second turn. 

Ruby's Willow was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
