Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from She's Wicked.
Ace Ventura turned in the box and took no competitive part in the event Zambora Ella and Destini Comet collided soon after the start. Dyna Denver and Zambora Ella collided approaching the home turn, checking Zambora Ella. Dyna Denver checked off Destini Comet approaching the home turn. Certain Smile eased in the home straight. Destini Comet checked off Shadae in the home straight. Zambora Ella checked off Certain Smile approaching the winning post.
Certain Smile was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following race 6, tt was reported that there was there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. H Baxter, the handler of the greyhound Certain Smile regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Certain Smile with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs. Baxter pleaded guilty to the charge, Certain Smile was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Ace Ventura was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards established that Ace Venture turned in the boxes. Acting under GAR 52(1) Ace Ventura was placed on a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks).
A sample was taken from Isen Allen - second placed in the event.
