Amageddon Now was a late scratching at 7.04pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a torn right fore nail. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Noonbarra Storm was slow to begin.  Doran's Call and Miss Moggy collided soon after the start.  Avatar Flame and Doran's Call collided on the first turn, checking Doran's Call, Why Not Archie and Noonbarra Storm. Avatar Flame checked off Miss Moggy on the home turn.

Ace Ventura turned in the box and took no competitive part in the event  Zambora Ella and Destini Comet collided soon after the start.  Dyna Denver and Zambora Ella collided approaching the home turn, checking Zambora Ella.  Dyna Denver checked off Destini Comet approaching the home turn.  Certain Smile eased in the home straight. Destini Comet checked off Shadae in the home straight.  Zambora Ella checked off Certain Smile approaching the winning post.

Certain Smile was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following race 6, tt was reported that there was there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. H Baxter, the handler of the greyhound Certain Smile regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Certain Smile with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mrs. Baxter pleaded guilty to the charge, Certain Smile was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ace Ventura was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards established that Ace Venture turned in the boxes.  Acting under GAR 52(1) Ace Ventura was placed on a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks).

Jackson Benz went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Rocky Gee Rocks was slow to begin.  Rocky Gee Rocks galloped on the heels Relethor Bale on the first turn, checking Relethor Bale, Rocky Gee Rocks and Jackson Benz.  Jackson Benz galloped on the heels Rocky Gee Rocks approaching the home turn, checking Rocky Gee Rocks.  Relethor Bale contacted the running rail approaching the home turn, checking Relethor Bale, Rocky Gee Rocks, Jackson Benz and Crazy Jo Jo.  Rocky Gee Rocks, Relethor Bale and Jackson Benz collided on the home turn, checking all three greyhounds.  Allen Kev and Zipping Hawk collided entering the home straight.

Relethor Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the right medial carpus, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

The start of this race was delayed by approximately 1 1/2 minutes due to a gallops race in Tasmania.

Mr. No Worries was slow to begin.  Mr. No Worries checked off Teflon Toby on the first turn.  Harlem Shake, Teflon Toby, Mr. No Worries and Fawn Pursuit collided on the first turn, checking Teflon Toby and Mr. No Worries.  Harlem Shake and Fawn Pursuit collided approaching the home turn, checking Fawn Pursuit.  Mr. No Worries checked off Fawn Pursuit approaching the home turn.  Sutre Sizzler galloped on the heels of Jimmy's Angel entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds.
