Apropos, Thomeli Mercury and Yolk's Boy collided on the first turn, severely checking Yolk's Boy and Thomeli Mercury, Thomeli Mercury lost ground as a result. Zuberi and Mr. Candyman collided in the home straight. 

Thomeli Mercury was vetted following the event, and re-vetted following event five. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Xtreme Shine, Myrrdon and Witch In Motion collided soon after the start, severely checking Witch In Motion, which stumbled and lost ground. Myrrdon, Bottle Of Plonk and Thomeli Rocker collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Bottle Of Plonk. Xtreme Shine and Thomeli Rocker collided approaching the first turn, checking Thomeli Rocker. Xtreme Shine, Myrrdon and Nellie Shan collided on the first turn, checking Nellie Shan, Xtreme Shine and Myrrdon. 

Witch In Motion was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Storm Search and Right Said Frank collided soon after the start, checking Right Said Frank. Manila Blue, Fast Freddie and Allen Eamon collided approaching the first turn, checking Manila Blue. Fast Freddie galloped on the heels of Storm Search on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Zipping Dash, Rube's Ablaze, Moyarra Eclipse, Allen Eamon and Right Said Frank collided on the home turn, checking Right Said Frank and Allen Eamon, and severely checking Moyarra Eclipse, which fell as a result. Fast Freddie and Allen Eamon collided in the home straight. 

Moyarra Eclipse was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left pencil and left deltoid, and a spike wound to the left metacarpal, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Striker Light was quick to begin. Zipping Inglis and Connemara Black collided approaching the home turn, and again on the home turn, checking Connemara Black and Airborn And Gone. 

Mabuti Miss was quick to begin. Severus Grange and Brae's Bullet collided soon after the start. Sidey and Crymelon Kit collided approaching the first turn, checking Crymelon Kit. Crymelon Kit and Maximum Gift collided approaching the first turn, and again on the first turn, checking Crymelon Kit. Severus Grange checked off Mabuti Miss approaching the home turn. Sidey checked off Mabuti Miss on the home turn. Maximum Gift and Mabuti Miss collided in the home straight, checking Mabuti Miss and Sidey.

Maximum Jarvis, Misty Warrior, Lireva and Glass Half Full collided on the first turn, checking Misty Warrior and Glass Half Full. Lireva and Red Winston collided on the first turn. Maximum Jarvis and Misty Warrior collided entering the home straight, checking Misty Warrior.

Mrs. T. Deglaitis, trainer of Sachi declared a new weight of 34.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Sachi last raced at 33.5kg.

Robyn's Boy and Arolok Jax collided soon after the start, checking Arolok Jax. Bush Destroyer checked off Cloona Magic on the first turn. Bush Hero galloped on the heels of Arolok Jax approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Bobby Tokaam and Half Moon Rising collided on the home turn, and again entering the home straight. Sachi checked off Cloona Magic in the home straight. 

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. McDowall, the trainer of Mepunga Midget regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Mepunga Midget last raced on 29th December 2016. Mrs. McDowall stated that the greyhound had been recovering from a left torn stopper. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Mepunga Midget trialled over the 390m from box one, weight 25.1kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.15, the greyhound won by a margin of 3 lengths. Mepunga Midget was Cleared.
