Steward's Report
Mr. D. Fisher, trainer of Tear Away Doc declared a new weight of 33.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tear Away Doc last raced at 32.8kg.
A pre race sample was taken from Tear Away Doc.
Iceni Menace was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). In The Net, Tear Away Doc and Destroy I Said collided approaching the first turn, checking Tear Away Doc. In The Net and Destroy I Said collided approaching the home turn. Tear Away Doc and Iceni Menace collided approaching the home turn, checking Tear Away Doc. Iceni Menace checked off Destroy I Said on the home turn. Rampant Jack and Tegz A Riddler collided in the home straight, checking Tegz A Riddler.
Tear Away Doc was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and right back muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Taylor, the trainer of Talanjee Stiff regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Talanjee Stiff last raced on 19th February 2017. Mr. Taylor stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left hock injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Talanjee Stiff trialled over the 390m from box four, weight 30.8kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.55, the greyhound won by a margin of 5.75 lengths. Talanjee Stiff was Cleared.

Kinloch Girl last raced on 12th January 2017. Mr. Taylor stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right triangle injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Kinloch Girl trialled over the 390m from box one, weight 25.4kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.55, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 14.25 lengths. Kinloch Girl was Not Cleared.
