Padma Grange was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the right hind leg.  No stand down period was imposed.

Xenon Bale was slow to begin.  Noonbarra Wind, Isen Allen, Allen Arlovski and Dyna Nina collided soon after the start.  Vital Force and Turbo Tom collided soon after the start.  Noonbarra Wind checked off Nymphadora Tonks approaching the first turn.  Xenon Bale checked off Dyna Nina approaching the first turn.  Isen Allen and Vital Force collided on the first turn, checking Vital Force.  Dyna Nina and Vital Force collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Xenon Bale and Noonbarra Wind collided on the home turn.

Isen Allen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured tail, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Noonbarra Wind was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Reefton Treasure engaged in this event on 5th September, 2017 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Celestial Folk and My Girl Belena were slow to begin.  Spring Bomber, Reefton Treasure and Federal Agent collided soon after the start, checking Federal Agent.  Celestial Folk and My Girl Belena collided on the first turn.  Reefton Treasure and Spring To Wyn collided on the third turn, checking Spring To Wyn.  Reefton Treasure checked off Spring Bomber approaching the home turn.  Spring Bomber raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Daniluk, the trainer of Likely Target regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Likely Target last raced on 10th May, 2017.  Mr. Daniluk stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to the left stifle.

Odd Boots was quick to begin.  Likely Target and Redda collided soon after the start.  Odd Boots crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Hutch, Mr. Moonlight and Tiggerlong Ray.  Tiggerlong Ray checked off Hutch on the first turn, checking Mr. Moonlight and Magic Innings. Redda and Hutch collided approaching the home turn.  Mr. Moonlight and Magic Innings collided approaching the home turn.  Hutch checked off Tiggerlong Ray in the home straight.

Ms. J. Riley was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Shady Apple pursuant to GAR 33.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Bridges, the trainer of Kosmik King regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Kosmic King last raced on 10th May, 2017.  Mr. Bridges stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to the fibula.
