Doran's Grove was a late scratching at 12.11pm due to injury (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Norendal, Dyna Pietro and Serendipity Gem were slow to begin. Avatar Gracie checked off Glendenning soon after the start. Norendal galloped on the heels of Avatar Gracie on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Glendenning checked off Bear Cabang on the home turn. Dyna Pietro checked off Norendal in the home straight. Doran's Ash checked off Bear Cabang approaching the winning post.
