Shotgun Doll crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Monster Foxy and Winston Cruise. Mighty Winston, Roy Boy and Monster Foxy collided on the first turn checking Monster Foxy. Winston Cruise and Gelwix collided on the home turn checking Gelwix. Gelwix cramped in the home straight.
Monster Foxy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained dehydration, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Taylor , the trainer of the greyhound Gelwix. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
