Later Skaters was quick to begin.
Bowon Approach and No Recourse collided soon after the start checking No Recourse. Little Maggie and Hully Gully collided soon after the start checking Hully Gully. Bowon Approach checked off Little Maggie approaching the home turn checking No Recourse. Little Maggie marred Later Skaters in the home straight checking Later Skaters, Bowon Approach and Hully Gully.
No Recourse was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right groin. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.
Little Maggie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both monkey muscles and the left stifle. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. P. Triaca, the trainer of the greyhound Little Maggie regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Little Maggie with marring. Ms. Triaca pleaded guilty to the charge, Little Maggie was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
