Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr M. Marshall, trainer of Mexican Spice regarding the length of time the greyhound had between races. Mexican Spice last raced on 18 September 2017. Mr Marshall stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following an extended spell. Mr Marshall declared a new weight of 28.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Mexican Spice last raced at 26.2kg.
Wilbur Deeds and Mexican Spice collided soon after the start. Dyna Worker, Wilbur Deeds and Mexican Spice collided approaching the first turn, checking Mexican Spice. Wilbur Deeds checked off Dyna Worker approaching the home turn. Jar Man raced wide approaching the home turn.
Kouta And Cream was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
