Akina Blitz and Ark Lightning collided entering the back straight, checking Ark Lighning. Sisco Knight and Radiant Angel collided approaching the third turn, checking both greyhounds. Spring Rain checked off Sisco Knight on the third turn, severely checking Spring Rain and Mia Brae; causing both greyhounds to race wide as a result. Spring Rain and Bluehawk Ralph collided on the home turn, checking Bluehawk Ralph and Ark Lightning. Spring Rain veered out and marred Mia Brae in the home straight. 

Spring Rain was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right deltoid and right trapezuis muscles, a ten day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Howell, the trainer of the greyhound Spring Rain regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Spring Rain with marring. Mr. Howell pleaded guilty to the charge, Spring Rain was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Destini Rocket. 

Loch Monster, Azkaban and Rippin' Sam were slow to begin. Annie Lava and Destini Rocket collided soon after the start. Azkaban and Renew collided on the first turn, checking Destini Rocket, Loch Monster, Azkaban and Rippin' Sam; causing Loch Monster and Rippin' Sam to race wide. Destin Rocket and Rippin' Sam collided on the second turn, Destini Rocket faltered and tailed off as a result. Annie Lava and Loch Freddie collided entering the home straight. 

Destini Rocket was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle and soreness to both triangle muscles, a 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Loch Monster was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Helicopter Harry, Raise The Bet and You Rippa Pippa were quick to begin. Spring Ace and Ollie Buck were slow to begin. Akina Dee Jay and Feikuai Rioli collided approaching the first turn. Benali, Diamond Ruby, Fernando Express and Menzali were slow to begin. Dyna Evelyn and Alpha Themis collided soon after the start, checking Alpha Themis. Benali, Diamond Ruby and Dyna Jacinta collided on the first turn, checking Diamond Ruby, Menzali and Dyna Jacinta. Benzali raced wide on the second turn and in the home straight.

Poppy Pete checked off Spring To Wyn entering the back straight. Miss Innings and Zoom Out collided in the back straight, checking Zoom Out. Gotham Queen and Zoom Out collided approaching the winning post.

La Reina was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the spine, right monkey muscle and right deltoid, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Natural Rhythm was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left and right deltoid muscles, a five day stand down period was imposed. 

Meehan Sox was quick to begin. Blue Reef and Magenta Gold were slow to begin. Zellman and Dashing Impulse collided on the first turn. Blue Reef and Magenta Gold collided entering the back straight. Dashing Impulse and Magenta Gold collided approaching the third turn, checking Magenta Gold.
