Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Triple Agent.
Ebby Ripper and Iris Allen collided approaching the first turn checking Ebby Ripper. Jeebus Bird and Very Choosy collided on the first turn checking Jeebus Bird. Ring The Bell checked off Jeebus Allen in the back straight. Iris Allen checked off Triple Agent on the home turn.
Samples were taken from Ebby Ripper, winner of the event and Very Choosy (3rd).
Ring The Bell was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right foreleg shin soreness, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr G O'Keefe, trainer of the greyhound Ring The Bell which performed below market expectations. Mr O'Keefe stated could offer no real explanation however highlighted that in his opinion Ring The Bell has a tendancy to hit a flat spot during the run which may have had some bearing this evening.
