Steward's Report
Woodleigh Girl was a late scratching at 2.23pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Dyna Misty was quick to begin. Sultan's Girl and Hurricane Sam were slow to begin. Dyna Misty crossed in soon after the start checking Hurricane Lucas and Little Mischa. Sultan's Girl crossed out and eased on the first turn severely checking Little Mischa; both greyhounds raced wide as a result.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. V. Sultana the trainer of the greyhound Sultan's Girl regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Sultan's Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right pencil muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Sultan's Girl with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mrs. Sultana pleaded not guilty to the charge, Sultan's Girl was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
