Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Bean, the trainer of Bright Sky regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Bright Sky last raced 19 June 2017 and is returning from a seasonal spell.
Bright Sky, Regas Baby and Almani Blaze were slow to begin. Long Live Sid went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin. Tilley's Pie and Hurricane Craig collided soon after the start. Regas Baby and Spritely Malibu collided approaching the first turn checking Spritely Malibu. Spritely Malibu and Tilley's Pie collided approaching the first turn checking Spritely Malibu. Hurricane Craig and Hello Mr. Duck collided on the first turn. Spritely Malibu and Bright Sky collided on the first turn severely checking Spritely Malibu and Bright Sky, Spritely Malibu stumbled as a result. Tilley's Pie crossed out entering the home straight checking Long Live Sid and Almani Blaze.
Spritely Malibu was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to both wrists and right pencil muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
