Call Me Waylan was slow to begin. Sorry Maurie and Just Run Left collided approaching the home turn checking Just Run Left.  Sunday Sipper checked off Inter Sam entering the straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Alchemy.

Daintree Destroy and Alchemy were slow to begin.  Hey Alio Fozzio, Podium Express, Alchemy and Naughty Nat collided approaching the first turn checking all four greyhounds.  Danger Bale and Shezza's Nitro collided on the first turn checking Alchemy, Podium Express and severely checking Shezza's Nitro and Hey Alio Fozzio which both fell as a result.  Alchemy galloped on Naughty Nat on the first turn checking Naughty Nat.

Shezza's Nitro was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Hey Alio Fozzio was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle and right quadriceps injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Maestro Destini was a late scratching at 7.21am due to illness-Diarrhoea GAR 23.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stevron Autos, Meeniyan Jet, Swift Bunny and Lana Lass collided on the first turn severely checking Meeniyan Jet.  Jaycee Plumb, Waikiki Creek and Destini Baby collided on the first turn severely checking Waikiki Creek and checking Swift Bunny.

Wild Whip and Why Not Maxine were quick to begin.  Kintamani and Fabregas Lara collided soon after the start.  Fabregas Lara checked off Avatar Djay soon after the start.  Why Not Maxine, Belena Surf and Wild Whip collided on the first turn.  Makikos checked off Why Not Maxine on the first turn.  Avatar Djay and Makikos collided on the home turn.  Fabregas Lara raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to B. Jacob, the trainer of Calvin Candie, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Calvin Candie last raced on 8th March 2017. B. Jacob stated that the greyhound had not raced due to injury.

Tomdor was slow to begin. Poison Pen crossed in soon after the start checking Full Of Charm, Mudslinger and Our Flying Laura.  Brazen Bullet and Predemonic collided approaching the first turn.  Mudslinger checked off Full Of Charm on the first turn.  Brazen Bullet and Predemonic collided on the home turn.

Last Princess was slow to begin.

Bolare, Fastnet Kahn, Seabrook Oscar and Octo Burn collided approaching the first turn checking Fastnet Kahn.  Bolare galloped on Seabrook Oscar on the first turn severely checking Seabook Oscar which tailed off also checking Fastnet Kahn and Windmills. 

Seabrook Oscar was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hock and left achilles injuries, and was humanely euthansed.

Call Me Deita crossed in soon after the start checking Petentim, Never Satisfied and Horey's Girl.  Never Satisfied checked off Call Me Deita approaching the first turn checking Spring Alis.  Spring Alis and Call Me Deita collided on the first turn checking Call Me Deita which fell as a result.  Petentim checked off Spring Alis on the first turn causing Petentim to fall and severely checking Never Satisfied, Never Satisfied tailed off (22 lengths).

Never Satisfied was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Call Me Deita was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Kynan's Revenge trialled over the 390mtrs from box 1, weight 34.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 29.43, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.5 lengths. Kynan's Revenge was Cleared.
