Mr. D. Gehan, trainer of Saint Ray declared a new weight of 31.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Saint Ray last raced at 30.2kg.

Al's Luck was slow to begin.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Riley, the kennel representative of Leo's Gift regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Leo's Gift last raced on 25 May 2017.  Mr. Riley stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to the right stopper.

Parisian Magic was a late scratching at 2.36pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Reignlee was vetted after an incident in the catching pen. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right humerus fracture and was humanely euthanased.

Unique Replica, Six Gun and Cheyenne Black collided soon after the start checking Unique Replica and Six Gun.  Kingsley Boy, Lonnie Lad, Cheyenne Black and Loosey Jabna collided on the first turn checking all four greyhounds.  Kingsley Boy and Loosey Jabna collided on the first turn checking Six Gun and severely checking Full Of Boloney, Unique Replica, Cheyenne Black and Loosey Jabna. Unique Replica, Cheyenne Black and Loosy Jabna fell as a result.

Unique Replica was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left foreleg and a laceration to the left foreleg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Cheyenne Black was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right shoulder injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Loosey Jabna was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left fibula, left and right calf, left and right groin and left wrist injuries, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Jonasson, the trainer of Shotgun Doll regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Shotgun Doll last raced on 19 May 2017. Mr. Jonasson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.  Mr. Jonasson declared a new weight of 29.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Shotgun Doll last raced at 30.4kg.

Stewards spoke to Ms. D. Coleman, the trainer of Invasion regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Invasion last raced on 28 May 2017. Ms. D. Coleman stated that the greyhound was new to her kennel.

Lulu Lollipop was slow to begin. Invasion and All Inn Tara collided soon after the start.  Unlocked checked off Ginger Menang on the first turn checking Invasion, Lulu Lollipop and All Inn Tara.  Emily Skye and Drop A Clanger collided on the home turn checking Emily Skye, Drop A Clanger and Shotgun Doll.  Shotgun Doll and All Inn Tara collided on the home turn checking Shotgun Doll, All Inn Tara, Lulu Lollipop and Invasion.

Mighty Winston was a late scratching at 2.43pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to illness - elevated temperature. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Call Me Swift was quick to begin.  Iceni Crusader was slow to begin.

All Inn Layla crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Demon Jesse and Super Stoked.  Super Stoked checked off Iceni Menace on the first turn checking Demon Jesse.  Super Stoked and Demon Jesse collided approaching the home turn checking Super Stoked and severely checking Demon Jesse which fell as a result.  Iceni Menace checked off All Inn Layla in the home straight.  Iceni Menace and All Inn Layla collided on several occasions in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Demon Jesse was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left deltoid injury and spike wounds to the right and left foreleg, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Baker Street was quick to begin.

Tegz A Riddler, Why Not Trish and Roaring Rampage collided soon after the start.  Why Not Trish and Roaring Rampage collided approaching the first turn.  Acrostar checked off Why Not Trish on the first turn.  Acrostar and Powerful Senor collided on the first turn checking Powerful Senor.  Why Not Trish and Roaring Rampage collided approaching the home turn checking Roaring Rampage.  Why Not Trish checked off Baker Street approaching the winning post.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Startbright Madie trialled over the 410m from box 4, weight 30.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.37, the greyhound won by a margin of a neck.  Starbright Madie was Cleared.
