Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Peter's Pride.
Peter's Pride was quick to begin. Low Flying Plane and Our Spirit were slow to begin. Classy Gun galloped on Bandit Brad on the first turn severely checking Classy Gun, Bandit Brad, Barney Boloney, Pristina Lad and Scanez Jewel and checking Low Flying Plane, Classy Gun and Barney Boloney fell as a result.
Classy Gun was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Barney Boloney was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured rght elbow and right hip, a 21 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. T. Churchill was advised that he must seek follow up veterinary attention for the greyhound within 3 days.
MEETING DETAILS:
Kennels closed approximately 10 minutes late due to delays in the kennelling area.
Satisfactory trial results:-
Special Mate trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 30.9kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.41 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 28.75 lengths. Special Mate was not cleared.
Vis Vitae trialled over 315 metres from box 2, weight 26.6kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.41 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 7.5 lengths. Vis Vitae was cleared.
