Miss Dozer, Golden Gun and Lady Alliance collided approaching the first turn.  Careless Cookie faltered on the first turn and lost ground.  Miss Dozer, Golden Gun and Lady Alliance collided on the first turn checking Golden Gun.  Miss Dozer and Lady Alliance collided on the first turn checking Lady Alliance, Lady Alliance and Lil Bit Awesome collided as a result.  Shrek's Capri checked off Mini Tron approaching the home turn.  Golden Gun and Shrek's Capri collided on the home turn checking Shrek's Capri.  Manila Traffic clipped the heels of Mini Tron on the home turn and fell, severely checking Lil Bit Awesome as a result.

Manila Traffic was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left calf injury and left shin soreness, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Lil Bit Awesome was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left stopper laceration, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Careless Cookie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Maggie's Alone and Gaza's Rooster collided approaching the first turn.  Gaza's Rooster, Terpillar, Kyante and Lady Bullseye collided on the first turn checking Lady Bullseye and severely checking Kyante, Newfire Chelle, Terpillar, Ruby Red Eden and Maggie's Alone, Ruby Red Eden and Newfire Chelle raced wide as a result.  Ruby Red Eden checked off Newfire Chelle approaching the second turn.  Ruby Red Eden raced wide entering the back straight.  Kyante raced wide in the back straight and collided with Maggie's Alone and Ruby Red Eden.

Bob's Gift was quick to begin.  Pristina Lad, Freedom Fire, He Shall Peter and Dr. Luvdisc were slow to begin.

Evie Girl was quick to begin.

Mendacious Lad and Crunchin Numbers collided approaching the first turn.  Mystic Powers and Legal collided approaching the first turn.  Mystic Powers, Legal and Orange Blossom collided on the first turn severely checking Orange Blossom, Legal, Crunchin Numbers, Righto Mitch, Hardaway Outlaw and checking Mendacious Lad, Orange Blossom stumbled and lost ground as a result.  Crunchin Numbers checked off Righot Mitch approaching the home turn.  Legal and Mendacious Lad collided on the home turn.  Righto Mitch and Hardaway Outlaw collided on the home turn checking Hardaway Outlaw.  

Orange Blossom was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion and spike wound to the left metatarsal, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Evie Girl - winner of the event.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Zahra Bella and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6.05pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr L. Bicchieri was fined the sum of $100.

Stewards spoke to Mrs S. Eustace, the trainer of Cyclone Jebrynah regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Cyclone Jebrynah last raced on 18th April, 2017. Mrs Eustace stated that the greyhound had a change of kennels.

Showin' Attitude, Crickets Dash and Thunder Of Night collided soon after the start.  Cyclone Jebrynah and Tekki Lightning collided on the first turn checking Tekki Lightning.  Crickets Dash and Cyclone Jebrynah collided entering the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Too Fly Man upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Thumb A Ride, Sports Knight and Harambe's Might were slow to begin.

Too Fly Man and Sports Knight collided on the first turn.  Canino and Mighty Bree collided on the first turn checking Mighty Bree, Harambe's Might raced wide as a result.  Too Fly Man checked off Mighty Bree on the second turn.

Express Chain was a late scratching at 6.15pm due to non-arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. After trainer Mr P. Smith notified stewards that he was having car trouble and wouldn't make kennelling. Mr Smith has advised to produce evident information to support the non-arrival by the close of business on Friday 18th August, or stewards will issue him with a fine of $100 regarding the non-arrival.  The stewards will consider lifting the 28 day stand down period once the relevant information is provided.

Calabresse Magic and White Line Lass were quick to begin.  Dam Sleek and She's A Beaut were slow to begin.

White Line Lass and Elite Eliana collided soon after the start checking New Lass.  She's A Beaut raced wide in the home straight.

Petite Harbour and Lektra Magic were slow to begin.

Zinet's Girl, Luna Evening, Nolita Nelly and Eagle Princess collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn severely checking Zinet's Girl and Lektra Magic, Lektra Magic fell as a result.  Always Alone, Luna Evening and Eagle Princess collided approaching the home turn checking Luna Evening and Always Alone.  Smiley Bynes eased approaching the home turn.  Smiley Bynes and Luna Evening collided entering the home straight.

Lektra Magic was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Smiley Bynes was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr L. Harris, the representative of the greyhound Smiley Bynes regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Smiley Bynes with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Harris pleaded guilty to the charge, Smiley Bynes was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Nitroniun and Cash Ownley were slow to begin.

Shanlyn Pippin crossed to the rail soon after the start checking She's Got Dash.  Really Magic checked off She's Got Dash on the first turn checking Tills Henry.

A pre-race sample was taken from Burnsy's Sam upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Rylies Jack was slow to begin.

Emi's Boy Murph and Jimmy's Angel collided soon after the start.  Rylies Jack checked off Thunder Of Sky on the first turn checking Rylies Jack, Emi's Boy Murph, Fiesty Ivy and Jimmy's Angel.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Xavier's Mate a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Kingston Sunset trialled over the 520mtrs from box 1, weight 27.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 30.80, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 24 lengths. Kingston Sunset was Not Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Kadalex Kid trialled over the 520mtrs from box 8, weight 31.6kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 30.80, the greyhound won by a margin of 1.50 lengths. Kadalex Kid was Cleared.
