Mt. View Gift was quick to begin.  Galloping Kriste, Jen's Magic and Sunset Kay were slow to begin.  Donna O'Muffin was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Hurricane Patch was checked off I'm Neegan on the first turn.  Sunset Kay and I'm Neegan collided on the first turn checking I'm Neegan.  Hurricane Patch and Galloping Kristie collided on the home turn checking Galloping Kriste and Jen's Magic causing Donna O'Muffin, Hurricane Patch, Galloping Kriste and Jen's Magic to race wide in the home straight.

Donna O'Muffin was vetted following the event after showing signs of PEDS in the catching pen.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.  Stewards will continue to monitor Donna O'Muffin in future events. 

A pre- race sample was unable to be obtained from Velocity Whisper. A post race sample was subsequently taken. 

Velocity Whisper was quick to begin.  Sandtrack Sniper and Le Freak were slow to begin.  Shadow Diamond and Siver Lightning collided on the first turn checking Siver Lightning and Tarika Tara.  Siver Lightning and Tarika Tara collided in the back straight.  Sandtrack Sniper and Siver Lightning collided approaching the second turn checking Siver Lightning.  Siver Lightning and Le Freak collided on the second turn checking Siver Lightning.  Geopark Ruby was checked off Sandtrack Sniper approaching the home turn checking Geopark Ruby and Tarika Tara.  Sandtrack Sniper and Tarika Tara collided approaching the winning post.

Miss Springer was slow to begin.  Sheza Dragon and Just Crystal collided soon after the start.  Evie Louise, Little Mischa and Our Sweetie collided soon after the start checking Little Mischa.  Hurricane Elyse was checked off Evie Louise on the first turn.  Our Sweetie, Miss Springer and Hurricane Elyse collided approaching the home turn checking Our Sweetie and severley checking Miss Springer and Hurricane Elyse.

Another Shiner was slow to begin.  Zahhak Zac and Lightning Lil collided soon after the start.  Zahhak Zac, Lightning Lil, Dr. Colt, Storm Train, Folding Green and La Petite collided approaching the first turn.  Zahhak Zac and Folding Green collided on the first turn.  Lightning Lil, Dr. Colt and Folding Green collided on the first turn causing Lightning Lil to stumble and lose considerable ground.  Another Shiner and Dr. Colt collided approaching the second turn.  La Petite was checked off Storm Train on the second turn.

Lady Of Ellie and Showin' Attitude were slow to begin.  Cruella Deville and Barney Boloney collided in the back straight.  Steinbeck Knew and Destructo Rat collided in the back straight severely checking Destructo Rat checking Cruella Deville.

Brindle Audrey was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr R. Floyd, the trainer of Destructo Rat after noting a significant market move for the greyhound. Mr Floyd stated that he had expected a forward showing from the greyhound after drawing a favourable box.  Mr. Floyd further stated that neither he nor the connections supported the greyhound. Stewards directed that a sample be taken. 

Le Doyen was quick to begin.  Heard It Before and Rapana were slow to begin.  Wolfbane McCabe, Galloping Ashley and Macalister Sam collided on the first turn checking Wolfbane McCabe, Galloping Ashley and Moore Of Darcy and severely checking Macalister Sam.  Macalister Sam and Moore Of Darcy collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds.

Antoine and Swift Damian were slow to begin.  Swift Damian and Jamari Belle collided soon after the start and again on the first turn checking No Guarantees.  Dr. Flannigan and It's Debatable collided on the first turn checking It's Debatable, Antoine and Galloping Benny.  Antoine and Swift Damian collided approaching the home turn.

Shackleton and Magic Maldini were slow to begin.  Bird Special, Banjo Barbie and Reatily Shintaro collided soon after the start checking Bird Special and Reatily Shintaro.  Night Prancer raced wide and became unbalanced approaching the second turn causing the greyhound to lose ground.  Night Prancer raced wide in the back straight.  Reatily Shintaro and Shackleton collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Harris the representative of Night Prancer regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn. Evidence was taken from the Steward situated at the 315 metre boxes, where it was reported that the greyhound lost its footing after racing wide.  After viewing all available video footage Stewards issued a warning to Mr. Harris regarding the greyhound's racing manners. 

Starlit Dragon was slow to begin.  Hurricane Craig was very slow to begin (3 lengths) and stumbled soon after the start. Timeless Rose, Bye Bye Boy and Starlit Dragon collided on the first turn checking Bye Bye Boy.  Timeless Rose and Was A Banker collided on the first turn severely checking Was A Banker.  Timeless Rose and Upta Ya Mate collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Smiley Bynes and Queen Dunroaming collided soon after the start.  Smiley Bynes and Queen Dunroaming collided on the first turn checking Smiley Bynes, Kev's Choice and Downtown Babe were checked as a result.  Trim City galloped on Moody Ruby on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Kev's Choice and Downtown Babe collided entering the home straight.  Moody Ruby raced wide from the home turn to the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Currie regarding his difficulty in boxing the greyhound Trim City.  Stewards directed that Trim City be boxed first in future events.

Early Express, Hello Nimble and Mo Green collided soon after the start.  Emilia Cash, Runaround Susan  and So Far Away collided approaching the first turn severely checking Runaround Susan.  Harvey Leigh and Mo Green collided approaching the first turn.  Mo Green, Hello Nimble and Runaround Susan collided on the first turn.  Emilia Cash and So Far Away collided approaching the home turn.  Hello Nimble and Harvey Leigh collided approaching the home turn.  Hello Nimble, Mo Green, So Far Away and Harvey Leigh collided entering the home straight checking Mo Green, So Far Away and Harvey Leigh.

Runaround Susan was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 12, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured neck, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Retention and Two Toes Tony were slow to begin.  Galloping Leo, Bandit Brad and Retention collided on the first turn checking Bandit Brad.  Rozehill Beth and Galloping Leo collided on the second turn checking Galloping Leo. Retention was checked off Two Toes Tony approaching the home turn.

Satisfactory trial result and GAR 77A:-

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Floyd the trainer of Blazin' Romeo regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Blazin' Romeo last raced on 30/10/16.  Mr. Floyd stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of trainer.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Blazin' Romeo trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 33.0kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.92 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2 lengths.  Blazin' Romeo was cleared.
