A pre race sample was taken from Miriam's Wish.
Bigtime Bruce was quick to begin. Aston Tobin and Soda Spike were slow to begin. Miriam's Wish, Aston Marshall and Eau Rouge collided soon after the start checking Miriam's Wish and Aston Marshall. Aston Tobin and Rosie Glenda collided on the first turn checking Rosie Glenda. Madarh and Eau Rouge collided on the first turn checking Eau Rouge which lost ground and checked Rosie Glenda as a result. Miriam's Wish and Eau Rouge collided on the first turn checking Eau Rouge which collided with Rosie Glenda checking Eau Rouge as a result. Aston Tobin clipped the heels of Madarh on the first turn. Aston Tobin galloped on Madarh approaching the home turn checking Aston Tobin and severely checking Madarh and Miriam's Wish. Aston Marshall and Bigtime Bruce collided in the home straight. Miriam's Wish and Soda Spike collided approaching the winning post.
Madarh was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Eau Rouge was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey and a right triangle muscle injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
