Steward's Report
Ultimate Return was a late scratching at 9.14 am, due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr Garry Selkrig, the trainer of Peter Galo, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Peter Galo last raced on 10 September 2017. Mr Selkrig stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an operation to the bicep muscle.
Aston Frankel was slow to begin. Stylish Billy, Peter Galo and Clovalley Mauri collided soon after the start, checking Clovalley Mauri. Aston Frankel, All Inn Houston, Dead Eye Dickson and Tayla's Banjo collided approaching the first turn, checking All Inn Houston and Dead Eye Dickson. Aston Frankel and Tayla's Banjo collided on the first turn. Stylish Billy and Aston Frankel collided several times on the home turn and entering the home straight.
