Steward's Report
The start of this race was delayed by approximately 2.5 minutes to hold for Esperance gallops.
Ashton Charlee and Under Sea were quick to begin. All Inn Baz, Kraken Bam Bam and Delaware Country were slow to begin. Half Day Harry and Bomber's Baby collided soon after the start checking Half Day Harry. All Inn Baz, Kraken Bam Bam, Ain't No Luck and Bomber's Baby collided approaching the first turn checking Kraken Bam Bam and All Inn Baz. Half Day Harry and Ashton Charlee collided on the first turn checking Ashton Charlee. Bomber's baby and Ain't No Luck collided on the first turn. Kraken Bam Bam clipped the heels of Ain't No Luck approaching the home turn severely checking Ain't No Luck which contacted the running rail and tailed off.
Ain't No Luck was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left thigh, and left hind paw. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.
