A pre-race sample was taken from Glass Half Full.

Top Fella and Spirit Bar were slow to begin. Spirit Bar and Mystic Riot collided approaching the first turn. Top Fella, Spirit Bar and Mystic Riot collided on the first turn checking Top Fella and Spirit Bar. George Regis eased on the first turn. Kraken Elroy galloped on the heels of Glass Half Full approaching the home turn checking Kraken Elroy. Top Fella contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. George Regis crossed to the outside on the home turn checking Ray's Wish.

Top Fella was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Kraken Elroy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the toe.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Hansen, the trainer of the greyhound George Regis regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. George Regis was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left shoulder injury. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged George Regis with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Hansen pleaded guilty to the charge, George Regis was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform aSatisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant toGAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
