Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Delbridge, the trainer of Cruising Suzie regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Cruising Suzie last raced on 5th September 2017. Mr. Delbridge stated that  the greyhound was returning to racing from a change of kennels.

The greyhounds arrived at the boxes approximately 4 minutes early due to a miscalculation of time by the Parade Steward.

Teflon Toby and Get The Gaff collided approaching the first turn checking Get The Gaff. Kodason, Quicksilver Hope and Cruising Suzie collided approaching the first turn checking Cruising Suzie and Quicksilver Hope. Teflon Toby and Kodason collided approaching the home turn and entering the home straight.

Watch Me Wyn was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right wrist. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Goodwin, the representative of the greyhound Watch Me Wyn regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the second turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Watch Me Wyn with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Goodwin pleaded guilty to the charge, Watch Me Wyn was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Trianna was quick to begin.

Manzeene Man and Critic collided on the first turn checking Manzeene Man. Alcyone and Mint Boy collided approaching the second turn checking Awesome Freckles and Critic.

My Mate Lenny was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right fore toe injury. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

Mr. D. Drew trainer of Kilty Express declared a new weight of 33.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Kilty Express last raced at 34.8kg.

Sooty Epsom was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured left hock and was humanely euthanased.

Warbo, Fancy Hope and Vanilla Kiss collided on the first turn checking Fancy Hope, Panda Rebel, Trademark Rocky and Surf In Vane. Trademark Rocky galloped on the heels of Capricorn Storm approaching the second turn severely checking Trademark Rocky, Capricorn Storm and Panda Rebel, all three greyhounds fell.

Trademark Rocky was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the head. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.

Capricorn Storm was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a concussion. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Hiscock, the trainer of Sergei regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Sergei last raced on 1st September 2017. Mr. Hiscock stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from a left metacarpal injury.

Sergei was slow to begin.

Crooked Vulture and Hanga collided soon after the start. Chelsea Drogba and Kiss Me Nicki collided approaching the first turn. Kiss Me Nicki and Crooked Vulture collided on the first turn checking Sergei.

Hanga was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both groins and the right saddle. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Winey Bago, Ima Caravan, True Value and Coalville Tiger collided soon after the start checking True Value and Coalville Tiger. Violet Blue and Game Spirit collided on the first turn checking Violet Blue. Ima Caravan, True Value and Coalville Tiger collided entering the back straight checking True Value and Coalville Tiger.
