Air Load was slow to begin.  Kelly's Star and Air Load collided approaching the first turn checking Kelly's Star.  Radish, Aston Ando, Leading The Way and Nash Road Betty collided on the first turn checking Aston Ando and severely checking Fifty Dollar, China Catch'em and Radish causing Leading The Way to fall.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Galea the trainer of Cindeen Jates regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Cindeen Jates last raced on 23/07/17.  Mr. Galea stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a seasonal spell.

Labuan Starfish and Monster Machine were slow to begin.  Greysynd Alpha, Top Shot Jack and Cindeen Jates collided soon after the start.  Vintage Millane and Monster Machine collided soon after the start.  Top Shot Jack and Weeona Dino collided approaching the first turn.  Weeona Dino was checked off Zipping Selma on the first turn checking Vintage Millane.  Greysynd Alpha was checked off Cindeen Jates on the first turn.  Greysynd Alpha and Labuan Starfish collided approaching the home turn.  Cindeen Jates and Zipping Selma collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Keel the representative for Hyperactive regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Hyperactive last raced on 06/08/17.  Mr. Keel stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following the removal of a rib.

Khaleesi Girl and Taylor Bale crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Hyperactive.  Wadelock Venus was checked off Khaleesi Girl approaching the first turn.  Absolute Breeze and Charlie Haze collided approaching the home turn.  Wadelock Venus and Taylor Bale collided approaching the home turn checking Wadelock Venus.  Khaleesi Girl and Rockalot collided in the home straight.

Monster Roar was quick to begin.  Belisarius and Wild Angel collided soon after the start checking Belisarius.  Ya Reckon and Wild Angel collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Ya Reckon and Wild Angel collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn.  Wild Angel was checked off Ya Reckon on the home turn.  Call Me Waylan raced wide in the home straight.

Champagne Papi was quick to begin.  Chatty Garry and Aston Upton were slow to begin.  Tiza Fabio and Arizona collided soon after the start checking Arizona.  Arizona was checked off Aston Upton approaching the first turn.  Tiza Fabio and Destini Fortress collided approaching the first turn.  Chatty Garry and Champagne Papi collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. F. Vassallo the trainer of Sesame Street regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Sesame Street last raced on 27/08/17.  Mr. Vassallo stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a monkey muscle injury.

Karise Fusileer, Meehan Deano and Nitro Hook collided on the first turn checking Karise Fusileer, Meehan Deano and Weeona Jimmy and severely checking Out Of Range which fell.  Flywheel Alfie eased approaching the home turn.  Nitro Hook eased entering the home straight.

Out Of Range was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right chest muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Bye the trainer of the greyhound Flywheel Alfie.  Flywheel Alfie was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Flywheel Alfie with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mr. Bye pleaded not guilty to the charge, Flywheel Alfie was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Pollutro the trainer of the greyhound Nitro Hook regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight.  Nitro Hook was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound on a left hind toe, no stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Nitro Hook with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury.  Mr. Pollutro pleaded guilty to the charge, Nitro Hook was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
