Primed Engine was a late scratching at 12:17am due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Well Armed was slow to begin and crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Big Tilly. Undetectable and Major Energy collided several times from the 250m to the 150m. Major Energy and Ruby Gas collided at the 50m. 

A sample was taken from Unexplainable- the winner of the event. 

Rancette, Cullquin Panda and Amlin Freddie were slow to begin. 

Cullquin Panda and Amlin Freddie collided at the 300m. Lamington Lass, Bejay Lilac and Iona Misty collided approaching the 250m. Black Rose Texas checked off Lamington Lass at the 200m, checking Iona Misty and Bejay Lilac. Lamington Lass and Cullquin Panda collided at the 150m. Black Rose Texas checked off Iona Misty approaching the 100m, checking Amlin Freddie. Lamington Lass and Cullquin Panda collided at the 50m. Amlin Freddie, Black Rose Texas and Bejay Lilac collided at the 50m. Rancette checked off Cullquin Panda approaching the winning post, checking Cullquin Panda. 

Mr N Jones, the handler of Jacko Day declared a new weight of 33.1 kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Jacko Day last raced at 31.4 kg.

Nitro Nicole and Miss Premier collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds. Jacko Day, Express Chain, Miss Premier, It Is Done and Divino collided soon after the start. It Is Done crossed to the rails at the 250m, severely checking Express Chain, Miss Premier and Hungry Heart. Hungry Heart galloped on It Is Done approaching the 150m and collided with Miss Premier; Hungry Heart and Miss Premier were checked as a result. Nitro Nicole and It Is Done collided at the 100m. 

Classy Gun, Arashundi and Juno Away collided soon after the start. Cigars On Ice and Slick Diamond collided at the 300m. Classy Gun and Juno Away collided approaching the 250m. Cigars On Ice and Slick Diamond collided at the 250m, checking Slick Diamond and Classy Gun. Cigars On Ice and Juno Away collided at the 150m. Arashundi faltered at the 150m and lost ground. Cigars On Ice and Juno Away collided approaching the 50m. 

Arashundi was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. K.Jordan, trainer of Ice Buster regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Ice Buster last raced on 18th of July 2017. Mr Jordan stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to left back muscle.

A pre-race sample was taken from Ice Buster.

Supreme Prince was slow to begin. 

Arapaho Joe, Tat Toby and Grand Maximus collided soon after the start. Paula's Delight checked off Keep Talking at the 300m. Paula's Delight and Supreme Prince collided at the 250m and again at the 200m, checking both greyhounds. Arapaho Joe checked off Ice Buster approaching the winning post. 

A sample was taken from Boof's Banjo- the winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to Ms. A. Galea, trainer of It's All Talk regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  It's All Talk last raced on 3rd of September 2017. Ms Galea stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being spelled. 

Early Thunder was a late scratching at 10:41am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to dehydration and an elevated temperature. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Oozing Mojo and Unbackable were slow to begin. It's All Talk crossed to the rails soon after the start. Right Now and Iona Regis collided at the 300m. Zipping Simmo and Oozing Mojo collided at the 300m. Right Now, Iona Regis and Erupt Eve Lad collided approaching the 250m and again at the 250m, checking all three greyhounds. Iona Regis checked off Erupt Eve Lad approaching the 150m. Right Now and Erupt Eve Lad collided at the 150m.

Rocky Gee Rocks and Kid Carl were slow to begin. Sleeping Slick and Trademark Rocky collided soon after the start. Sleeping Slick and Diligent Miss collided soon after the start. Kid Carl and Diligent Miss collided at the 250m. Rocky Gee Rocks and Diligent Miss collided at the 150m. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Noonbarra Wind.

Noonbarra Wind, Freakish Flash, One Plus Two and Price Tag collided soon after the start. George Regis and Blackjack's Back collided at the 300m. Noonbarra Wind and One Plus Two collided at the 300m. Price Tag crossed to the rails approaching the 250m and collided with Noonbarra Wind and Blackjack's Back. Noonbarra Wind checked off One Plus Two at the 150m.  Early Special and Price Tag collided at the 100m. Blackjack's Back, One Plus Two and Price Tag collided at the 50m.

Last Princess and Good Humour were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Sargent lost ground at the 150m.

Sargent was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. Z. Aleksov, trainer of Splash Da Cash regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Splash Da Cash last raced on 8th of September 2017. Mr Aleksov stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to the right metatarsal.

Cailah Shakey and Splash Da Cash were slow to begin. 

Tally Ho Len and Urana Banjo collided at the 300m. Oliver Cruise and Urana Banjo collided at the 250m. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Star Desire.

Paua Of Terror was slow to begin. 

Mister Brown, Bank Rouge and Tzar Norma collided soon after the start. Mister Brown, Star Desire and Wet And Wild collided at the 250m. Paua Of Terror faltered at the 50m.

Paua Of Terror was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left biceps, left back muscle and right hamstring. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. 

An out of competition sample was taken from Miss Pepperoni on 5th December 2017, pursuant to rule GAR79A

Patchie Thief and Uncatchable collided soon after the start. Patchie Thief, Uncatchable and Miss Pepperoni collided at the 250m. Uncatchable and Miss Pepperoni collided at the 150m. Cee Cee Senor and Gunmetal Diva collided at the 50m, checking Gunmetal Diva.

Cee Cee Senor was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hind quadriceps muscle and a sacro-iliac injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
