Steward's Report
The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Blazing Lane and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6.08pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer G. Campbell was fined the sum of $100.
A pre-race sample was taken from Hector Cabang.
Daintree Destroy and Quick Collision faltered soon after the start and pulled up as a result. Hector Cabang checked off Sturridge on the first turn.
Daintree Destroy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture and dislocation to the left hock and was humanely euthanised.
Quick Collision was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left hock, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
