Steward's Report
MEETING COMMENTS:
During kennelling the Stewards inspected the track for a second time after a heavy downpour, the track was rated good and safe for racing.
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Dusty Gambler engaged in this event on 16th November 2017, pursuant to GAR 79A.
A pre-race sample was taken from Ebby Ripper upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
A pre-race sample was taken from Ring The Bell upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
A pre-race sample was taken from Destroyer upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Inequity, Ring The Bell, Petunia Monelli and Destroyer were quick to begin. Ebby Ripper and Hit The Highway were slow to begin.
Dusty Gambler was slow into stride. Ring The Bell checked off Petunia Monelli on the second turn. Petunia Monelli and Hit The Highway collided on the home turn.
Samples were taken from placegetters - Ebby Ripper (1st) and Destroyer (3rd).
Dusty Gambler was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right deltoid injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
The race vision was only partially available to view due to an operational error.
