Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Punters Paradise engaged in this event on 27 November 2017 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Zoobie was a late scratching at 1.48pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Twenty Tamar was quick to begin. Bronelly Jet was slow to begin. Feikuai George and Dorrigo Bale collided soon after the start. Punters Paradise galloped on the heels of Meehan Deano in the back straight checking both greyhounds. Dorrigo Bale and Meehan Deano collided on the first turn, checking No Passengers. Bronelly Jet and Twenty Tamar collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Feikuai George galloped on the heels of Bronelly Jet approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. No Passengers galloped on the heels of Bronelly Jet in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.
A sample was taken from Twenty Tamar - the winner of the event.
Bronelly Jet was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke with Mr.B.Bravo, the trainer of Bronelly Jet regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. After viewing the available vision of the race Stewards were satisfied that the collision was caused by both Twenty Tamar and Bronelly Jet shifting ground approaching the home turn and took no further action.
