Lakeview Maisey was quick to begin.  Midnight Marzy was slow to begin.  Doused In Mud, Motown Mac, Run Rita Run and Woodleigh Blue collided on the first turn.  Midnight Marzy, Run Rita Run and Woodleigh Blue collided entering the front straight.  Midnight Marzy and Run Rita Run collided in the front straight.  Doused In Mud, Midnight Marzy, Motown Mac and Run Rita Run collided on the second turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon, the trainer of Dr. Melezar regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Dr. Melezar last completed a satisfactory trial on 29 April 2017. Mr. McMahon stated that he has taken time to work on improving the greyhound's racing manners.  Mr Mcmahon also declared a new weight of 28.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dr. Melezar last raced at 30.6kg. 

Buzz Rash was quick to begin.  Buzz Rash and Shy Freddie collided on the first turn.  Shy Freddie was checked off Poke The Bear on the home turn checking Dr. Eleonora and Shy Freddie.

A pre-race sample was taken from Wadelock Mindy.

Straitline Willy was slow to begin.  Dr. Paulina, Straitline Willy and Don't Trust collided approaching the first turn.  Tidelina and Wadelock Mindy collided on the first turn, checking Tidelina. No Money Down was checked off Ruby's Image entering the back straight.  Dr. Paulina brushed the running rail entering the back straight.  No Money Down and Straitline Willy collided approaching the home turn.  Tidelina and Wadelock Mindy raced wide in the home straight.

Mr. W. McMahon, the trainer of Candy Rose declared a new weight of 27.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Candy Rose last raced at 28.2kg.

Jake Of Carson and Wadelock Venus were quick to begin.  Dr. Watson, Dreamy Julian and Johnny Bullet collided soon after the start.  Backin' Bully crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Johnny Bullet.  Candy Rose galloped on Wadelock Venus on the third turn checking both greyhounds.

Knew It, Vanishka, Crooked Vulture and Milla Rose collided soon after the start.  Little Vossy and Knew It colllided in the back straight.  Little Vossy and Crooked Vulture collided approaching the third turn.

Crooked Vulture was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor spike wound to the left hind leg causing severe bruising, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Kadalex Kid, Aston Grace, Runnin' On Fire and Rebel Lad collided soon after the start.  Data Star and Tree Climber Liv collided on the first turn.  Aston Grace, Runnin' On Fire and Rebel Lad collided on the first turn.  Data Star and Tree Climber Liv collided on the third turn. Runnin' On Fire and Shining Opal collided entering the home straight.

Dr. Yanma, Blocka Boy, Mallee Spring, Busta Voe and Galloping Leo collided soon after the start and again on the second turn checking Blocka Boy.  Dr. Yanma galloped on Galloping Leo approaching the home turn.

Sparky Neveelk and Cairo Calling were slow to begin.  Hi Ho Geronimo, Hyundai Hawk, Brueghelino and Neo Cleo collided on the first turn.  Sparky Neveelk, River Crossing, Cairo Calling and Empire Entourage collided on the first turn.

Le Doyen and Flywheel Magic were quick to begin.  Hello Nimble and Ends Well were slow to begin.  Persuader was checked off Le Doyen on the first turn checking Persuader, Zinda Neveelk, Hello Nimble, All About Arby and Ends Well.  Persuader and Zulu Zoe collided in the back straight checking Persuader.  Hello Nimble crossed out on the second turn and collided with Zinda Neveelk, both greyhounds raced wide as a result.  All About Arby was checked off Persuader on the second turn.  Zinda Neveelk and Hello Nimble collided on the home turn.  Zulu Zoe and Ends Well collided in the home straight.

Dynamo Magic was a late scratching at 3:06pm due to illness (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mister Brown was slow to begin.  Aston Noir was checked off Hands To Myself on the first turn.  Ultimate Conor was checked off Mister Brown on the first turn.

Ginger Warrior was a late scratching at 6:30pm on Veterinary advice (GAR 37)(fleas). No stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Big Bubbles was quick to begin.  Luna Evening was slow to begin.  Classy Gun was checked off Big Bubbles soon after the start.  Righto Mitch and Big Bubbles collided several times in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Johnnie Red.

Magic Myer and Instant Allen were quick to begin.  Johnnie Red was slow to begin.  Bull Da Dash was checked off Instant Allen approaching the first turn.  Woolly Warbo and Bending Bananas raced wide on the first turn.  Fear Fire and Johnnie Red collided entering the home straight.  Jasocate crossed out in the home straight and collided with Bending Bananas.

Jasocate was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
