Killara John was quick to begin.  Shrek's Typhoon and Deadwood Kate collided soon after the start.  Belron Gaz, Boydy and Jacqui Shoshone collided soon after the start.  Killara John and Jacqui Shoshone collided on the first turn. Belron Gaz was checked off Hurricane Patch on the first turn checking Hurricane Patch, Boydy and Deadwood Kate.  Killara John and Belron Bliss collided approaching the home turn.  Hurricane Patch raced wide on the home turn. Belron Bliss and Belron Gaz raced wide in the home straight.

Belron Bliss was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right hock, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Little Big Girl was quick to begin.  Parto's Digit, Falling In Love, Jen's Magic and Cherokee Shimmer were slow to begin.  Parto's Digit and Falling In Love collided soon after the start checking Parto's Digit.  Blazin' Romeo raced wide soon after the start checking Ridgy Boy.  Little Big Girl and Blazin' Romeo collided on the first turn checking Little Big Girl and Ridgy Boy.  Falling In Love raced wide on the home turn checking Mrs. Jawa and Cherokee Shimmer.  Little Big Girl and Parto's Digit raced wide in the home straight.  Mrs. Jawa and Cherokee Shimmer collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Middle Trucker was quick to begin.  Miss Barossa was slow to begin.  Off Ya Rocket clipped the heels of Bluehawk Ralph approaching the first turn and stumbled checking Miss Barossa as a result.  Ice Cold Yug galloped on Middle Trucker on the first turn severely checking Middle Trucker.  Off Ya Rocket was checked off Middle Trucker approaching the home turn.  Off Ya Rocket and Miss Barossa collided entering the home straight.

Middle Trucker was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, left triangle muscle and an abrasion between the toes on the left front foot, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Allen Zero.

Paddy's Cripp was quick to begin.  Scarlet Tru Blu, Amaroo Bazinga and Allen Zero were slow to begin.  Gestalt Allen, Cosmic Don and Kelly's Style collided soon after the start checking Cosmic Don.  Gestalt Allen and Kelly's Style collided on the first turn.  Kelly's Style and Midnight Marzy collided on the first turn.  Gestalt Allen and Kelly's Style collided approaching the home turn.  Cosmic Don raced wide on the home turn.  Amaroo Bazinga crossed in approaching the winning post and collided with Paddy's Cripp and Midnight Marzy.

Amaroo Bazinga was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Schembri the trainer of Amaroo Bazinga regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.  After viewing the head on footage Stewards issued a warning on this occasion.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Mo Green and no illness was detected.  The greyhound was a late scratching at 5.45pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. K. Mitchell was fined the sum of $100.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Tricky Trey, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Amaroo Gonzales and Provenance were slow to begin.  Lloyd Street and Tricky Trey collided approaching the first turn.  Wilbur and Provenance collided approaching the first turn.  Tricky Trey and Amaroo Gonzales collided approaching the home turn.  Galloping Ashley raced wide on the home turn.

Mr. G. Graham the trainer of Woodleigh Bond declared a new weight of 31.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Woodleigh Bond laced raced at 32.6kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Lola Allen.

Lola Allen and Porscha's Girl were quick to begin.  Dr. Colt and Long Live Sid collided approaching the first turn.  Rusty Sidebottom faltered on the first turn and lost ground checking Woodleigh Bond.  Dr. Colt and Lightning Lil raced wide on the home turn.  Lola Allen and Porscha's Girl collided entering the home straight.

Rusty Sidebottom was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left flexor tendon, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Vienna Gypsy.

Vienna Gypsy was quick to begin.  Takaho Tiger was slow to begin.  Blue Cat Wombat, Gypsy Marlow and Bonta Magic collided approaching the first turn.  Upta Ya Mate, Krazy Jane, Blue Cat Wombat and Gypsy Marlow collided on the first turn severely checking Gypsy Marlow, Blue Cat Wombat and Takaho Tiger.  Vienna Gypsy raced wide on the first turn.  Krazy Jane crossed to the rail entering the home straight.  Blue Cat Wombat and Takaho Tiger raced wide entering the home straight.

Rostryca Campo was quick to begin.  Storm Train was slow to begin.  Liberty Diamond was checked off Queen Dunroaming on the first turn.  Razorback Black and Zafonic Express collided on the first turn checking Razorback Black, Zafonic Express and Storm Train.  Liberty Diamond and Delta's Magic collided approaching the home turn.  Liberty Diamond and Rostryca Campo collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Rostryca Campo and Storm Train collided entering the home straight.  Razorback Black and Zafonic Express collided entering the home straight checking Razorback Black.  Liberty Diamond galloped on Queen Dunroaming in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Midnight Minx was a late scratching at 6.10pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to illness.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Pistol.

Aruma Girl and Buckle Up Todd collided soon after the start.  No Guarantees was checked off Aruma Girl on the first turn.  Lucky's Spirit, Indira's Girl and Pistol collided on the first turn.  No Guarantees was checked off Buckle Up Todd approaching the home turn.  Indira's Girl and Special Member collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds, Special Member stumbled as a result.  Indira's Girl was checked off Lucky's Spirit entering the home straight and collided with Buckle Up Todd.

Stewards noted that the lure was being moved into the correct starting position later than the normal time, as the greyhounds were parading to the boxes.  Stewards spoke to lure driver Mr. S. Courts regarding this incident, Mr. Courts stated that he was waiting for the call to initiate the 'stir up' prior to the greyhounds parading which did not occur as there was no 'stir up' required.  Stewards advised Mr. Courts that it was his responsibility to have the lure in the correct starting position before the greyhound parade.  Stewards also referred the matter to the appropriate manager.
