Harvey Leigh and Brindle Audrey were quick to begin. Spot Of Magic and Harvey Leigh collided on the first turn. Dr. Luvdisc and Linny Morris collided approaching the first turn checking Linny Morris. Chase On Case and Dr. Luvdisc collided on the first turn checking Chase On Case. Nat, Linny Morris and Pure Sacrifice collided approaching the home turn checking Nat and Pure Sacrifice, Nat and Pure Sacrifice raced wide as a a result. Nat raced wide in the home straight.

Kennels closed approximately 10 minutes late due to the running of the thoroughbred trials, subsequently trainers were delayed entering the greyhound facilities.
Satisfactory trial results:-
Sambucca Rose trialled over 315 metres from box 3, weight 28.2kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.50 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.5 lengths. Sambucca Rose was cleared.
