View Gift collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Evie Louise and Able Bess collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds causing Tilley's Pie to race wide.  Tilley's Pie and Able Bess collided approaching the home turn checking Tilley's Pie causing Mia Crazy to race wide.  Evie Louise raced wide on the home turn. Red Octane raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Mia Crazy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

A sample was taken from Iona Cape - winner of the event.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Roger Jay and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 2:18pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. G. Condon was fined the sum of $100.

Trap Queen, Need A Zac and Six Heights were quick to begin.  Talented Sweetie and Misty's Boy were slow to begin.  Talented Sweetie was checked off Peninsula Lady approaching the first turn causing Talented Sweetie to race wide.  Caitlin Louise and Six Heights collided on the first turn checking Caitlin Louise.  Talented Sweetie raced wide on the home turn.

I'm Neegan and Bold Crusade collided soon after the start checking Bold Crusade.  Scarlet Magic crossed in soon after the start checking Taylor Taylor, Jaggered Stone, Spin The Trolley and Scarlet Magic causing Spin the Trolley and Scarlet Magic to fall, Jaggered Stone stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result.  I'm Neegan was checked off Bold Crusade approaching the second turn.

Was A Banker and Jamari Belle were quick to begin.  May's Melody was slow to begin.  May's Melody and Titanium Boy collided soon after the start.  Cloe's Intention and May's Melody collided soon after the start.  Cloe's Intention, May's Melody and Titanium Boy collided approaching the first turn checking May's Melody and Titanium Boy.  Cloe's Intention and Rattle Gate collided on the first turn.  Was A Banker and Rattle Gate collided several times on the third turn checking both greyhounds, Cloe's Intention raced wide as a result.  May's Melody and Titanium Boy collided in the home straight.

Any Other Union was quick to begin.  Explosive Sky was slow to begin.  Any Other Union and Moore Of Darcy collided on the first turn checking Moore Of Darcy which stumbled and lost considerable ground, Rosacky Blitz, Peninsula Panda and Arrow Allen were checked as a result.  Tricky Tron, Any Other Union and Explosive Sky collided on the second turn.

All About Arby was vetted by the Club's Verterinary Surgeon prior to the event due to an injured tail and was passed fit to race.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 1 1/2 minutes after holding for a Newcastle harness.

All About Arby, Big Burkey, Zipping Faith and Ninetymile Ace collided soon after the start.  Emilia Cash  crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Zipping Faith, Mandela Sun, Emilia Cash, Ninetymile Ace, Big Burkey and All About Arby.  Just Curtis, Zipping Faith and Mandela Sun collided entering the back straight severely checking Just Curtis which faltered and subsequently tailed off.

Just Curtis was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right hock, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Galloping Benny and Timeless Rose were slow to begin.  Maybe Hannibal, La Petite, Rayda and Slick Assassian collided on the first turn checking La Petite, Rayda and Slick Assassian.  Slick Assassian and Timeless Rose collided in the back straight checking Slick Assassian.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Parade Steward,  Mr A Kleeven did not act in any official capacity for this event.

Wiggle Emma was slow to begin.  Wiggle Emma clipped the heels of Zipping Tina soon after the start.  Sheza Dragon crossed in soon after the start checking Zipping Tina, Kayla Las and Zinda Neveelk.  Lorna Olive and Sheza Dragon collided approaching the first turn checking Sheza Dragon.  Zinda Neveelk and Zipping Tina collided on the first turn.  Sheza Dragon contacted the running rail on the first turn causing Kayla Las to gallop on Sheza Dragon, both greyhounds lost ground as a result.  Wiggle Emma crossed to the rail in the home straight checking Lorna Olive and Zinda Neveelk.

The start of this event jumped approximately 2 minutes late due to delays in the kennelling area. 

Itz Hooroo Adios, Rozehill Beth and So Far Away were quick to begin.  Blackalls Lad and Sunset Senorita were slow to begin.  Rozehill Beth and So Far Away collided approaching the first turn checking Rozehill Beth.  Sunset Senorita and Dr. Dunstan collided on the first turn checking Dr. Dunstan and Blackalls Lad.

Mr.  D. Franklin, the trainer of Spot Of Magic declared a new weight of 29.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Spot Of Magic last raced at 27.7kgs.

Harvey Leigh and Brindle Audrey were quick to begin.  Spot Of Magic and Harvey Leigh collided on the first turn.  Dr. Luvdisc and Linny Morris collided approaching the first turn checking Linny Morris.  Chase On Case and Dr. Luvdisc collided on the first turn checking Chase On Case.  Nat, Linny Morris and Pure Sacrifice collided approaching the home turn checking Nat and Pure Sacrifice, Nat and Pure Sacrifice raced wide as a a result. Nat raced wide in the home straight.

Meeting comments:-

Kennels closed approximately 10 minutes late due to the running of the thoroughbred trials, subsequently trainers were delayed entering the greyhound facilities.

Satisfactory trial results:-

Sambucca Rose trialled over 315 metres from box 3, weight 28.2kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.50 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.5 lengths.  Sambucca Rose was cleared.
