Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Theo Van Taarling, the trainer of Stylish Billy, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Stylish Billy last raced on 3rd May, 2017. Mr Van Taarling stated that Stylish Billy was returning to race after a change of kennel.
A pre-race sample was taken from Heavy Pockets.
Heavy Pockets and Destini Florida were slow to begin.
My Dolly Molly checked off Auburn Gal soon after the start. Low Flying Plane, Auburn Gal, Rocket Riley, Stylish Billy and Heavy Pockets collided on the first turn, checking Auburn Gal and Stylish Billy. Rocket Riley and Heavy Pockets collided on the home turn, checking Heavy Pockets. Rocket Riley and Destini Florida collided entering the home straight, checking Stylish Billy. Heavy Pockets checked off Stylish Billy in the home straight.
MEETING CONDITIONS
Satisfactory Trial Results - Billy Deeds trialled over the 400m from box eight, weight 30.9kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four. The time of the trial was 22.65, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.75L. Billy Deeds was cleared. Trainer Mr Robert Britton delcared a new weight of 30.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Billy Deeds last raced at 33.4kg.
