Billy's Entity was slow to begin.

Peter Galo and He's Supreme collided soon after the start. Vital Force and Superior Zoe collided soon after the start, causing Vital Force to collide with Billy's Entity. Superior Zoe checked off He's Supreme at the 300m mark. Quirky and He's Supreme collided several times between the 250m mark and the 150m mark, severely checking He's Supreme. Early Storm checked off Peter Galo at the 150m mark.

He's Supreme was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.

You Bandit was slow to begin.

Steel Magnetic and Crazy Eye Jye collided soon after the start. Glib Lightning, Steel Magnetic and Crazy Eye Jye collided at the 300m mark.

The revised start time for this event was delayed by approximately one minute to hold for the Bendigo gallops event.

Flying Class and Vanderville Girl was slow to begin.

Arctic Blaze and Flying Class collided soon after the start and again at the 250m mark, checking Arctic Blaze. Vanderville Girl and Delta's Magic collided approaching the winning post. Jupiter Asending raced wide throughout the event.

The revised start time of this event was delayed by approximately two minutes to hold for Century Downs harness.

Squizzy Buzzard was slow to begin.

Pretty Machine and Acquainted collided at the 300m mark and again at the 250m mark. Pat Me Again crossed to the rail at the 200m mark, checking Pretty Machine and Acquainted.

Kouta Excuses and It's All Talk were slow to begin.

Oakleigh Rose and It's All Talk collided at the 300m mark. Blackpool Chuck crossed to the rail approaching the 250m mark, checking Mepunga Tycoon and Kouta Excuses, and severely checking It's All Talk, Oakleigh Rose and Regional Chief.

Matt Machine was slow to begin.

Are You and Bullocky Bill collided soon after the start. Hot Charmola and Penny Pop collided soon after the start.

Lektra Boss was a late scratching at 1:43PM on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. A five-day stand down period was imposed.

Shiro was slow to begin.

Kouta Mayhem galloped on Judicial Man at the 250m mark and stumbled. Penny Worth checked off Kouta Mayhem at the 200m mark causing Penny Worth and Judicial Man to collide. Penny Worth and Judicial Man collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Ellis, the trainer of Vanderville, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Vanderville last raced 9 May, 2017 and is returning form a hip injury.

Marlow's Angel, Keep Talking and Vanderville collided soon after the start. Vanderville crossed to the inside at the 300m mark, checking Allen Dynamo, Marlow's Angel and Keep Talking.

Sunset Believer, Campeon and Two Toes Tony were slow to begin.

Campeon checked off Two Seasons at the 100m mark. No Shadow Kick crossed to the inside approaching the winning post, checking Campeon, Maximum Babe and Two Seasons.

Blackpool Alexis was a late scratching at 11:30AM on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a torn right hind toe nail. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.

Bird Special, Unusable and Inter Sam were slow to begin.

Flying Camo, Unusable and Sunset Senorita collided approaching the winning post, checking Sunset Senorita. Jonny Bravo eased approaching the winning post

Bird Special was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a carpal sprain to the right wrist. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.

Jonny Bravo was vetted following the event. A revet was declined by trainer Mr Robert Bean. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Bean, the trainer of the greyhound Jonny Bravo, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Jonny Bravo with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Bean pleaded not guilty to the charge, Jonny Bravo was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Healesville and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A RADB hearing was set to be held on Friday 18 August 2017 after Mr Robert Bean lodged an appeal against the stewards decision regarding the greyhound Jonny Bravo. After considering further evidence that was not available to stewards on the day, the charge was subsequently rescinded and the appeal withdrawn.

UPDATED 18.8.17

Nitroniun was removed from the race bay after damaging the kennel. As a precaution the greyhound was vetted and passed fit to run. 

We Wish was slow to begin.

Meehan Deaon, Shot To Glory and Nitroniun collided soon after the start. Onya Elsa, Desert Spike and Mon Mekki Kahn collided soon after the start.

Vanderville Kid and Gotta Rush collided soon after the start.

Vanderville Kid, Gotta Rush and Auburn Gal collided at the 250m mark, checking all three greyhounds.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Fasttack became unavailable mid-way through the kennelling process, as a result the remaining two thirds of the greyhounds were kennelled manually and subsequently the kennels closed late. Following these dealys, all races were put back one race.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Shezza's Nitro trialled over the 300m from box one, weight 25.5kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four.The time of the trial was 16.54, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12.75L. Shezza's Nitro was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr James Shaw, the handler of Hurry Slowly, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Hurry Slowly last raced on 14 July 2016. Mr Shaw stated that the greyhound had sustained a right stopper ligament injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Hurry Slowly trialled over the 300m from box three, weight 33.2kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 16.54, the greyhound won by a margin of 6.25L. Hurry Slowly was cleared.

Satisfactory Weight Trial (Solo) - Tiger Frost trialled over the 350m from box six, weight 35.9kg. The time of the trial was 19.73, Tiger Frost was cleared.
