Steward's Report

A pre race sample was taken from You Bug Me.

Made First and Warrion Warrior collided soon after the start checking Made First. Hit The Runway, Golden Tears and Farmer Brown collided approaching the first turn checking Golden Tears. Farmer Brown, Allen Punter and Hit The Runway collided approaching first turn checking Hit The Runway and Allen Punter. Allen Punter and Southwood Max collided approaching the first turn checking Allen Punter. Allen Punter, Hit The Runway and Made First collided on the first turn checking Made First and Hit The Runway. Farmer Brown tired in the home straight.

Hit The Runway, which tailed off in the back straight, was vetted and revetted following race 6 . It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left and right back muscle and a spike wound to the left hind toe, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  

Farmer Brown, which performed below market expectations, was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Mr D Fisher, trainer of the greyhound, who agreed that the performance was disappointing, however he was unable to offer any tangible reason for the performance this evening. Mr Fisher undertook to report to Stewards should any abnormalities become apparent in the coming days.
